FARGO — Amazon’s Fargo Fulfillment Center continues to ramp up operations six months after opening.
WDAY News was invited inside for a tour of the 1.1 million square foot facility Friday, March 25.
Being in a building that large means focus is key.
“My team I oversee is 67 people. And that’s quite large. It’s a 1.1 million square foot building, there’s a lot of places they can hide. And so just making sure that like we’re clear with the goal for the day and what their responsibilities are,” said Jesi Garfield, Inbound Stow Area Manager at FAR 1.
As of right now, the facility has more than 600 employees. That’s still short of their goal of around 1,000, but teams are still making their mark.

“We started maybe unloading 100 units a day to thousands of units a day. And I know outbound they went from 100 units out a day to thousands of units out a day. So with every month because it’s been six months now, like you’ve seen that build going,” said Garfield.
She said they send out as many as 10,000 packages a day now, and that’s just starting to scratch the surface.
